emergency lock out
We unlock your vehicle with damage-free entry methods—no lock drilling unless the hardware is already damaged or won’t operate.
Price range: $100–$250
What affects cost
Time of day (after-hours/holidays).
Travel distance and access (parking garages, gated lots).
Vehicle complexity (deadlocks, higher-security designs, limited access).
Limitations
If keys are visible but the vehicle has a double-deadlock or the interior handle won’t open, additional labor may apply.
If there is pre-existing lock/door damage, we may recommend repair before forcing entry.
all keys lost
If all keys are missing, we can create a new key and, when required, program it to your vehicle so it starts and runs.
Price range: $160–$350+
What affects cost
Key type (basic metal key, transponder/chip key, laser-cut/sidewinder, proximity smart key/fob).
Programming requirements (immobilizer, security procedures).
Vehicle make/model/year and parts availability (aftermarket vs OEM).
Limitations
Some vehicles require additional security steps, dealer involvement, or extended time on-site.
Proof of ownership and ID required before key generation/programming.
duplicate keys
Have a working key and want a spare. We cut a duplicate and program it if the vehicle requires a chip or smart key.
Price range: $100–$200
What affects cost
Mechanical vs transponder vs smart key.
Whether cloning/programming is required.
Key quality choice (aftermarket vs OEM, basic head vs fob-style shell).
Limitations
A worn original key can copy poorly; in that case we may recommend generating a fresh code-cut key (additional cost).
fob programming
We program your remote or key fob so lock/unlock (and on some vehicles remote start, trunk, panic) functions work correctly.
Price range: $75–$250
What affects cost
Basic keyless-entry remote vs proximity/push-to-start fob.
Whether the vehicle requires diagnostic programming vs an on-board procedure.
Whether you’re supplying the remote/fob or we are.
Customer-supplied fob policy (important)
If you supply the fob/remote, programming is labor-only and billed for time/attempt regardless of outcome.
No warranty on customer-supplied fobs/remotes.
We may refuse parts that are clearly incorrect, used/locked, or low-quality.
transponder programming
We program a transponder (chip) key to your vehicle so it will start. This service is for programming work; cutting a key (if needed) is separate unless quoted together.
Price range: $65–$150
What affects cost
Vehicle year/make/model and immobilizer system.
Whether at least one working key is present (usually faster) vs all keys lost.
Security/access steps required by the vehicle.
Customer-supplied key policy (important)
If you supply the transponder key, programming is labor-only and billed for time/attempt regardless of outcome.
No warranty on customer-supplied keys. Many aftermarket/online keys are incompatible, previously locked/programmed, or poor quality.
For “all keys lost” situations, we may require that we supply the key to avoid preventable failures.
key extraction
If a key breaks off in the door lock or ignition, we remove the broken piece. This price is for extraction only; making or programming a replacement key is additional.
Price range: $75–$150 (extraction only)
What affects cost
Where it broke (door vs ignition).
How much of the key is accessible.
Whether the lock/ignition is already damaged or jammed.
Limitations
If the lock/ignition is damaged, extraction may not restore function and repair/replacement may be required.
ignition repair/replace
We diagnose ignition issues (key won’t turn, cylinder binds, intermittent start problems) and repair or replace components as appropriate.
Price range: $150–$400+
What affects cost
Repair/rebuild vs full replacement.
Parts required and availability.
Whether the job also requires key cutting and/or immobilizer programming.
Limitations
Electrical issues (battery, starter, wiring, BCM/immobilizer faults) may require additional diagnostics beyond the mechanical ignition cylinder.
rekeying
Rekeying changes the lock so your old key no longer works and a new key does. This is useful after a theft, employee/valet key control issues, or when you want all cylinders keyed alike.
Price: Quoted per cylinder
What affects cost
Which cylinders: door, trunk, ignition.
Vehicle make/model and hardware design (some are straightforward; others are not cost-effective to rekey).
Condition of cylinders (wear, damage, prior tampering).
Limitations
In some cases replacement is a better fix than rekeying; we’ll advise after confirming year/make/model and which cylinders you want changed.
